VFX Forth for Windows

A distribution of MPE's premier Windows Forth System is available for free download on this site.

NEW VERSION 3.70

This download is the complete, full featured package as described on the VFX Forth page here. No missing features, no time-out, just a polite "nag" screen and no turnkey application generation. PDF and HTML manuals are included. The change notes are also available.

Download and Installation Instructions

  • 1) Download the self-extracting EXEcutable from here. Approx 4.7Mb

  • 2) Email us at vfxtrial@mpeltd.demon.co.uk for an installation key, ensuring that the subject includes "VFX Forth" to bypass our spam filters. If you don't put this in the subject, there's a very good chance you will not get a response. Please include the following in your eMail:-

  • Your full name,
  • Your land-mail address,
  • A return email address,
  • and a contact telephone number.


    • We will issue you an installation key by email. This make take a few working days depending on the office workload. Please note that we are no longer using an autoresponder on this mailbox.

  • 3) Run the downloaded executable and answer any questions which pop up.
  • 4) Finally, have lots of fun.

    The Forge development environment for VFX Forth was included up to version 3.4. It is now replaced by the Studio environment and is no longer being supported. The full Forge release with source code is available as forge.zip approximately 865 kb.

    C to Forth Compiler: This is a complete C to Forth compiler with sources. It is an MPE research project which we believe will grow better as a Forth community project. Download the ZIP file c2forth110.zip which is about 510kb.
